Support for the Journey to (and through) Motherhood

The Journey to Wellness

The transition to motherhood is one of life’s most profound shifts—physically, emotionally, and identity-wise. Whether you are navigating the challenges of pregnancy, struggling with birth trauma, or feeling overwhelmed in the "fourth trimester," you do not have to carry it alone. We provide a specialized, compassionate space for moms to find their footing again.

At North Salem Psychotherapy, we recognize that the "baby blues" often mask deeper needs. Our approach is designed to validate your experience and provide a soft place to land during a high-pressure season of life.

What We Address

We provide specialized support for the unique challenges of the perinatal period:

  • Perinatal Anxiety & Depression: Moving beyond temporary sadness to find real relief and nervous system regulation.

  • Identity Transitions: Rediscovering who you are and what you need outside of your role as a parent.

  • Birth Trauma: Processing difficult or unexpected birth experiences in a safe, clinical environment.

  • Relationship & Parenting Stress: Managing the mental load and the shifts in partnership that come with a new baby.

Our Approach

Our sessions are gentle, collaborative, and evidence-based. We utilize tools from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Interpersonal Therapy, and Mindfulness to help you manage intrusive thoughts and find moments of calm.

As a group practice, our staff therapists receive specialized supervision from our Clinical Director, ensuring your care is held with the highest level of expertise and empathy.

The Result

Our goal is to help you move from "surviving" to "thriving." Through our work together, you will build a sustainable plan for your mental wellness, allowing you to show up for yourself and your family with more presence, confidence, and peace.
