I’m Kate, a licensed social worker and therapist at North Salem Psychotherapy. I support women, young adults, and couples as they navigate the impact of past trauma. My work centers on the belief that healing happens when you feel safe to be fully yourself.

I specialize in supporting clients through childhood and attachment trauma, anxiety, depression, people-pleasing, chronic self-blame, religious trauma, and codependency. In therapy with me, you’re welcome to come exactly as you are, as we untangle the parts of your story that no longer serve you and move toward a more connected version of yourself.

My style blends thoughtful reflection with practical tools, so you leave sessions with both insight and something you can bring into your everyday life. My approach draws from somatic and body-based work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, we slow down, notice what’s happening beneath the surface, and meet the protective parts of you that formed in response to trauma.

I’m also passionate about creativity, emotional health education, and integrating conversations around meaning and purpose when clients desire it. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you reconnect with the parts of yourself you may have lost along the way.

Outside the therapy room, I’m often with my Brittany Spaniel, Ginny (“Ginny girl”), or creating something cozy at home. I bring that same warmth and creativity into session, believing that healing doesn’t have to feel clinical or cold; it can be a soft place to land.”
